In IVF-ET cycles—

Pregnancy Rates Comparable to Other Forms of Progesterone1

Study design: Results of a retrospective analysis of 1675 IVF-ET cycles in which women received progesterone for luteal phase support. Patients received Crinone 8% (90 mg QD), progesterone vaginal suppositories (100 mg QD), or IM progesterone (50 mg QD). Progesterone support started on the day after oocyte retrieval and continued through 7–10 weeks in case of pregnancy.

Crinone 8% usage more than doubled during this retrospective study

  • Usage increased from 21.7% in the 1st quarter to 50.1% by the 4th quarter
  • Type of progesterone was determined by patient and physician preference
